03 Apr Sophie PerssonVice-Chair Governor
I’ve been on the Board of Governors since 2017, first as Parent Governor but since 2021 as a Co-opted Governor and Vice Chair. My children were both lucky enough to attend Holmleigh but are now at secondary school. I work in the arts as a producer and curator, and have an interest in arts, culture and food. I’ve always loved the warmth and joy that the staff at Holmleigh bring with them every day, and which makes this school such a nurturing and happy place for all children to learn. I worked with the school in 2017 to re-write the food policy, prioritising healthy food, fruit and vegetables, and also ran the after school cookery club for three years which was a brilliant way to make delicious meals and snacks whilst learning, tasting and exploring new flavours with kids from all year groups. I am Chair of the Premises Committee, which is a group that supports Miss Boateng in making decisions around the maintenance and upkeep of the school’s building and grounds.
