Religious Education

We follow the agreed Hackney SACRE (Standing Advisory Council for Religious Education) syllabus for the teaching of Religious Education and RE is blocked during specific RE weeks each half term.

The Hackney syllabus develops children’s understanding and learning about RE and, material is drawn from the six major religions – Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Sikhism and Buddhism. In order to further enhance the children’s understanding of these religions, there are additional opportunities to learn from people in their local community and visit a range of religious buildings.
