Online Safety

Internet is a great source of information. Nowadays internet can be accessed via a wide choice of devices including PSPs, DS, Wii, smart phones – pretty much any electronic device. So the advice to the parents to keep the computer in the living area in the house and limit children use is no longer a practical one. Instead we need to educate ourselves and our children how to be keep safe and what to do if in doubt.

Safer Internet Day

We have selected a few helpful websites dedicated to promoting internet safety. Please visit them and get on board with the technology!

In addition to the ongoing teaching of online safety, each year Safer Internet Day is celebrated. KS1 and KS2 assemblies are delivered to reiterate the importance of positive online use.   For more information, you may wish to visit UK Safer Internet Centre’s website by clicking here.

Alternatively, you can download “Conversation Starters for Parents and Carers” and “Factsheet for Parents and Carers” at the bottom of this page for a quick read.

We expect all our pupils to adhere to Pupil Acceptable Use Agreement / Online Safety Rules. You will find a copy of the PAU agreement at the bottom of this page. Please read the this agreement with your child to have your full support for safe and secure internet use throughout the school and beyond.
