Sav Akyuz visits Holmleigh

We were honoured to have a visit to Holmleigh from Sav Akyuz, an award-winning writer and illustrator of books such as I Am Bear and Bear Moves. He is also the Patron of reading for the Hackney Reading Champions.

He did a session in the hall with Years 1, 2 and 3, and showed us how to draw familiar animals using simple shapes. Together, with the children, we created an unusual-looking alien beast thing.
