On Thursday 4^th December, Year 5 attended the prestigious LOLLIES awards ceremony held at the Southbank Centre. It was the ninth year of this event which celebrates the very funniest books across different categories e.g. picture books.  It was a star-studded occasion and our pupils were entertained by prominent children’s authors such as Adam Kay and Liz Pichon.  The biggest cheer was reserved for Michael Rosen. We all received a tote bag full of goodies and the children queued patiently to have their gifted books autographed by the writers themselves.  It was a fantastic event and has hopefully inspired year 5 to read even more books.
